This policy explains what information HOMEOS collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account data — your name and email, handled through our authentication provider.
Home data you add — rooms, systems, appliances, documents, photos, expenses, maintenance, and history. This is the core of the service.
How you found us — when you first visit, we record basic marketing attribution (referral source, campaign, and any affiliate code) so we understand where signups come from. This is not tied to sensitive personal data.
Usage — standard technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
To provide and improve HOMEOS: run your workspaces, generate reminders and insights, process payments, support you, and keep the service secure. We use AI providers to power photo reading and grounded Q&A on your home's data.
Aggregate, anonymized insights
We may produce aggregate statistics across many homes — for example, the average amount homeowners spend in a year, or the most common appliance categories. These are computed only across a large enough group that no individual home can be identified, and are used for internal reporting, a possible newsletter, and potentiallyaggregate industry reports. We do not sell your individual home's data. If we ever decide to offer aggregate data products to third parties, we will update this policy and honor your choices first.
Who we share data with
We share data with service providers that help us operate — for example, authentication, payment processing, AI processing, email delivery, weather-alert lookups, and hosting. They may only use it to provide their service to us. We also share the specific home information you deliberately choose to share with people you invite (a realtor, insurer, contractor, and so on) or when you transfer ownership.
Data retention and security
We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to run the service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period. We use industry-standard safeguards, though no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your home data from within HOMEOS, and delete your account. You can opt out of marketing email. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as under GDPR or CCPA) — contact us to exercise them.
Children
HOMEOS is not directed to children and is intended for adult homeowners.
